It was a really terrible book. The hero is creepy and I cringed just about every time he opened his mouth. When we meet the heroine, we find out, just like most heroines, that she is not that hot, except to the hero, and somehow, every other male in this book that takes one glance at her. The manager also skeeved me out. The whole beginning of the book talked about how much he loved his wife and wanted the same for Dale, our hero, yet, as soon as we meet Janet's, the heroine, best friend, the manager is practically having orgasms every time he is near her.Dale is a total misogynistic pig, and while I love an assertive hero, that is not what this d-bag was at all. I also love a good couple who start out hating each other, but this was just ridiculous. Dale was on something for sure, because he was hot and cold the whole book, and for absolutely no good reason. He was an ass whenever he spoke. Janet is a good character, but just goes along with whatever Dale wants. Every character contradicts themselves, the dialogue is forced between people who are supposed to be good friends. It just didn't make much sense, and I will admit to skipping a bit near the end because it was so unbelievable and horrid.
Oh, and Bobby? WTF? Ridiculous concept there as well.

Rock Charisma eBook Joan P Cooley Reviews
I read Backstage Pass and Rock Hard form Olivia Cunning and got into the whole Rock Band mood. Unfortunately there are only two books so far of the Sinners series, so I started looking for more Rock Band books of the same caliber to read and found Rock Charisma. Browsing through the reviews and seeing that most gave it 5 stars, I decided to buy it. What a waste! Poor character development, poor story line, and poor writing. The Hero is a drop dead gorgeous, sarcastic, self centered loser. Did I mention that he is drop dead gorgeous? Yes, well maybe I should repeat that since it is repeated over and over in the book. He might be an ass, but he is gorgeous. He might now nothing about pleasing a woman, but remember, he is so gorgeous. Oh, and the strong heroine? Jeez, she's just plain pathetic. She could never stick to her decisions. If I could get a refund, I would!
Slightly creeped me out this one. No Olivia Cunning in the making. More disturbing for how dopey the heroine was and how psychotic the hero was and let's not even mention the surprise appearance of a heavenly body at the end. Well surprised me anyway!
I throughly enjoyed reading this book. A good glimpse into the world of rock and roll. It is a fast-paced story and that moves along seamlessly. I found myself rooting for the main characters and I was not disappointed. I look forward to any sequels that will further the subplots
Good story, could use work on grammar, way too many "But, ....." used inappropriately. Ending was a bit abrupt. Needs work to make readable.
I normally only write good reviews but I couldn't not write one for this book. It was bad...really bad. I decided to take a chance on it since the reviews were so split and I really wish I wouldn't have. Seriously, the bad reviews are right...all of them.
Think i got this book for free, thank God because if i would have paid even $.99 i would have been mad! I agree with another reviewer that it seemed like several authors put this together, it was all over the place. One of the worst stories I've read in years. And did anyone else think that Paul was pissed with Dale was because he wanted Dale for himself? I was so sure that they were going to end up together or in a threesome with Janet. Either way this booked sucked.
Author had good story plot going. Characters were well developed. I disagree with author's opinion that God would use this approach to bring a backslidden child of God bsck in to the fold. Yes, God still loved Dale & He did bring Janet into his life to make him see this. God used Gabriel as a messenger in the Bible, but He would not send Gabriel to Dale to say God approved of Dale's lifestyle of drunkness, drug usage, & whoring. These are things of the world & as a Christian, we are to obain from things of the world. The story was well thought out, but I think the author is misguided on the approach of God & his miracles. God gives all of us chances & protects us , but He also excepts us to show the world we are different because of His help in our lives.
